Painting electric cranes

In addition to painting fuel-driven cranes, at Gouweleeuw we are also specialised in painting electric cranes. Painting electric cranes requires special care and attention due to the electronic components. It is important in every part of the work process that there is no longer any electrical voltage on the crane. The electronic components must be waterproofed before washing the crane. For the rest, the work process when painting an electric crane in our paint shop is no different than when painting a fuel-driven crane.

At Gouweleeuw we believe in innovation and progress. That is why we are proud to paint electric cranes, which play an important role in the sustainable development of the construction and transportation industries. Due to the increasing demand for zero-emission machines, we expect to paint many electric cranes in our paint shop in the coming years.

We have already painted a number of electric cranes in our paint shop, including:

Sany SCE800TB-EV

The Sany SCE800TB-EV is the first fully electric telescopic crawler crane in Europe with a lift capacity of 80 tons. For VolkerWessels we painted a Sany SCE800TB-EV crane in their corporate colours, which was exhibited at the Bauma fair in Germany in 2022. We have taken care of another Sany SCE800TB-EV for Gebroeders van ‘t Hek and painted it in their corporate colours.

Liebherr LR 1160.1

For our customer Boer B.V. we painted a Liebherr LR 1160.1 in their corporate colours. This Liebherr LR 1160.1 is one of the first of this type of cranes in the Netherlands. As an extra finish, the entire crane has been sprayed with a clear coat. This clear coat layer ensures longer retention of the colour and gives a glossy result. We are happy that we were commissioned to carry out the painting work on this special crane.
